How does FedEx schedule pickup work? ›

If you have a FedEx account, you can schedule a pickup online. A FedEx driver will pick up your return package from your home or business for a small fee. Or if you prefer, you can drop off your package at your convenience at a drop off location near you.

A package will be held for up to 7 days. After that, the package will be returned to the nearest FedEx facility, and your tracking information will be updated to show that your package is no longer being held for pickup at Walgreens.

If you cannot remember your time window and have booked your pickup online, you can view the given times within the My Pickups tab – they're referred to as "the ready time and latest available time."

If your online shopping return has a FedEx label, you can drop off your sealed and prelabeled package to a Walgreens location of your choice and ask a store associate for assistance. Don't have a label? You can request a FedEx return label from participating online stores.

One of the common reasons is that your FedEx account might not be registered for the pick-up service. This could be due to a technical glitch or outdated information on your account. Another common reason why the 'Schedule a Pickup' option might not be showing up is that there could be an issue with the software.

Your order won't be charged to your credit card until it's picked up. Orders will be canceled after 72 hours.

How can I request a redelivery? In most cases, FedEx will attempt to deliver your package three times before returning it to the shipper. In case a courier is unable to leave your package, the courier will try to call you to check your availability and attempt the delivery.

Hold for Pickup is a special service that can deliver and keep a package at the sender's location or destination of choice. After the package arrives at the location, the recipient is notified and will be required to travel to the location to pickup the package.

When your package is delivered to the FedEx location, you'll be notified that the package is ready for pickup. You'll receive a text, automated phone call, or email.

FedEx Express and Ground Shippers: To support distancing as recommended by the CDC, we request customers that require a Residential pickup explore dropping off at FedEx Drop Box locations. If a Residential pickup is required, please leave package(s) outside the door where possible for pickup.

Pickup fees

Return: $4 per package Next Day or Future Day: $3 per package (add $1 per package scheduled by phone). Same Day: $4 per package (add $1 per package scheduled by phone). Maximum of $20 per rated week for Future Day and Same Day On-Call fees billed to your account for packages picked up at the same location.

If a Residential pickup is required, please leave package(s) outside the door where possible for pickup.
